I’m going for a drive to clear my head.
Explore somewhere you’ve never been.
The farther you go, perhaps the more free you’ll feel.
She said all these things to herself as she planned her day.
Soothing music had been playing in the background, her GPS had just made her aware that she didn’t have far to go when she was suddenly hit with a wall of piercing aqua marine hues from the lake she was about to explore.
She passed the entrance to her destination, the plaque was tiny. After turning around and making her way back, the entrance opened up onto a small parking lot. Empty.
She walked through a small path which lead to the beach, inviting her in. This is where she would find solace from the chaos in her world, just for today.
